Thoughts while standing around in Walgreens

The ongoing collapse of civilization manifests itself in a thousand small ways. I saw an example of it while trying to buy sinus medicine in Walgreens. Pseudoephedrine is an ingredient in the white trash drug, Crystal Meth; so stores find them selves under pressure to limit and control purchases of the drug. The Walgreens I was in had the drug visable on the shelf; in a locked, lucite container.
So cold and allergy sufferers are inconvenienced in order to protect rural dope-heads. Not the end of the world, just a tiny step in that direction.

Maybe Walgreens is simply trying to protect their profits by keeping "rural dope-heads" from stealing the stuff.

Maybe, but that's the only place that I have seen it locked up like that.

Now Walgreens goes even further - While trying to purchase sinus medicine containing pseudoephedrine, the pharmacy clerk requested my drivers license and proceeded to enter all the information into his computer. He claimed its now federal law to register anyone who purchase such products! I know this is an old topic - thought folks might want to know the end game
